Answer the following prompt after reading the first half of your first novel, book of poetry, or play by July 6th. Post your response on your blog under AP Literature Assignment #1. Your response should be detailed and show a clear knowledge of the text. Prompt #1: Write a detailed summary of the poems/play/story in the first half of your book.  Then explain what you think the author’s purpose was in writing his/her book, and what your reaction is to that purpose.
